Apply & remove Marching Red Ants and Marching Black Ants formatting

Word
Category: Computer Aided Translation (CAT) assistantsBack to CAT Software section

When working with Wordfast Classic, Marching Red Ants and Marching Black Ants formatting styles may be used to indicate text that should not be translated. At the same time, starting with Word 2007 and in newer versions of Microsoft Word, these formatting styles cannot be applied via the Font dialogue, so Wordfast Classic users need to use other less desirable options for hiding non-translatable text.

TransTools for Word offers several commands for working with these styles in any version of Microsoft Word:

  • Apply Marching Red Ants Style – use this command to apply Marching Red Ants formatting to selected text.
  • Apply Marching Black Ants Style – use this command to apply Marching Black Ants formatting to selected text.
  • Remove Animation Style – use this command to remove animated formatting from selected text.
